Overview

Reddit is home to a wealth of authentic perspectives, experiences, and recommendations. Yet many people still turn to Google to find them. So much so, that an estimated 1% of Google searches have “reddit” appended.

How might we make Reddit a destination where people begin their search, rather than just where they end up?

AI presented an opportunity to fundamentally rethink the search experience. Instead of simply returning a list of results, we could help people find answers, explore diverse perspectives, and make more informed decisions, while crediting Reddit's communities directly.

I've helped shape this evolution, from leading the design and launch of Reddit Answers as its sole designer to defining a more unified, conversational search experience.
